Emerging Risk Professional Award

Purpose

The Emerging Risk Professional Award recognizes institutional or affiliate members who are serving in the early stages of a higher education risk management career and have already made contributions to and clearly impacted the organization.

Award recipients will be recognized at the next URMIA Annual Conference. Nominations may be made at any time and awards will be bestowed on an as-appropriate basis, not necessarily every year.

Nominations

The Honors Committee accepts nominations at any time. Members of the Honors Committee are not eligible for this award while serving on the committee. Submissions received after June 27 will be considered for the following year.

Selection Criteria

Nominees for the Emerging Risk Professional Award should have made contributions and clearly impacted URMIA in the following ways:

  • Engagement, inspiration and positive impact within their organization
  • Contribution of proactive, innovative ideas
  • Shown emerging leadership skills by increasing levels of responsibilities
  • Passion for higher ed risk management
  • Made contributions to URMIA which demonstrates promise as a future URMIA leader
