About Us

Founded in 1969, University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA) is uniquely dedicated to the advancement of the profession of risk management in higher education. URMIA provides community, education, and resources to an international community of more than 3,100 members. This includes practicing professionals at more than 875 institutions of higher learning, as well as more than 125 affiliate companies and partner organizations that serve the needs of higher education risk management. URMIA is headquartered in Bloomington, Indiana.
