Selection Criteria
This award is meant for an Affiliate member nearing the end of a full career of not less than 20 years during which service to the higher education risk management and insurance industry and to URMIA are notable.
Such service should include:
- Thought leadership and notable contributions to higher education risk management
- Development and publication of white papers, webinars, think tanks, and other professional development opportunities to the benefit of the membership
- Significant volunteer service commitment and/or leadership within URMIA
- Evidence of mentorship of newer industry professionals and/or service provider staff
- Relevant issue advocacy
Other attributes to consider:
- Demonstration of positive attitude and good character
- Respected by colleagues, employees, managers, and others in all levels of the organization
- Exhibits enthusiasm for higher education risk management
- Motivates others
