Newcomers Information

Welcome!

If this is your first URMIA annual conference, we extend a warm welcome to you. While we would have preferred to have welcomed you in person, we want to make sure that you feel the same sense of connection and community at our upcoming virtual conference. This event can be a bit overwhelming for newcomers, so here are some pre-conference tips to help you get the most out of your experience.

Steps to a Great Experience

  1. Explore the Schedule

Browse through all the wonderful programming available in the full conference schedule. Click on a session to see details, including the core competencies covered (listed at the end of the description). You can personalize your schedule and even filter the schedule by type or competency to build your very own roadmap for the event.

  2. Register in Advance

Don't procrastinate and miss out! Register up to 48 hours before the first day you want to attend. See registration closing times for each registration type.

  3. RSVP for the New Member/First URMIA Experience Welcome & Orientation

Be sure to select this session during online registration to participate in this lively pre-conference event on September 9! It provides you with an opportunity to network with other conference newcomers, URMIA leaders, and URMIA staff; become more familiar with the full range of URMIA member benefits and resources; and much more. Attend for your chance to win prizes at this interactive event!

  4. Choose an Ambassador

We encourage you to reach out before the conference to one of our engagement ambassadors. Think of this new friend as a personal tour guide for URMIA activities and benefits.

  5. Engage with Other Attendees

Watch for conference updates, ask questions, and connect with other attendees in the online 2020 Attendees Community. We also invite you to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Instagram, adding your voice to the discussion using #URMIA2020.
